International food day

On friday 20 May we had International food day in school.

Carrecting our Schoold decided to take part and prepare salads from our garden.

We made potato salad- cold and with spices, pear and rocket, coleslaw and

lettuce salad. We all worked hard and the salads were amazing.

Tara and me (Alex) wrote out questions for those who tasted them.

They were really satisfying. Charlotte took some pictures with her

fancy camera sohopefully she will post them soon.

We're in the final

We are officialy in the finals. This means more hard work and more brilliant ideas :) We had the frst meeting since ... hmm long tme anyways, today we decided on our next move. I have to do some art work as well as Tara, we need receips for International food day, powerpoint presentation, announcement ideas and more information about the film that we want to make.

The garden looks amazing. Everything expanded and grows so well. The sunflowers were just transplanted a few weeks ago when they were still babies and we were worried about them but they look so strong and proud now ^_^ We are still waiting for carrots, not all of them are growing. We will upload some recent pictures as soon as possible. You have to see it yourself!

Big things are happening in Garden World. :3

So, it's been a while. I get lazy about these things, I'm sorry. Plus there wasnt much to say....

That's a lie actually. There's been quite a bit.

I think we told you about how we started planting stuff?
Well, we did. And even better. That stuff is, wait for is....growing. Yes I did say growing. Because that's what everything is doing.
We have lettuce, beetroot, radish, tomato, and even a little bit of carrot starting to come up. Our potatos are on their way aswell. We're gonna be planting peas and beans as soon as we get back after Easter. It's just amazing. I dont have any photos to show you at the moment, but if you check on the Facebook later today or next week we should have something for you to show what we've grown.

On to other news, which is mostly what I wanna talk to you about.

Our Babies.

You obviously think I'm insane saying babies, and then telling you I dont mean the things growing in the garden. That I actually mean....Sunflowers?

Why are they the "babies" as you called them you ask?
Well, these four sunflowers are the babies for a few resons. Mostly because for the past three weeks, under the wonderful care of myselfm (Katie) and my sister when the Ty's aren't about. We have been watering and careing for the most beautiful little sunflowers you've ever seen.

But here's the thing.
We brought them outside today. And the thing is, inside they looked so big, sitting on the window sill. And now, oh god, they look so pitiful. I'll be worrying about them for the next three weeks. :/

Anyway, I think that's all I have to say at the moment. Talk to ye all later.
Hugs and honeybunches.

Hey guys!!

Sorry for the long absense, there's been so much happening recently, not all of it to do with the garden, but alot of it has. And because of that, it's been quite hard to find time to update the blog.

So, here's the updates I have for you:

1. We started planting. Currently we have a load of stuff in the ground, (carrots effyeah) we did this about a week ago (I think, time no longer makes sense to me) so we're all waiting to see the first shoots and stuff come up when it happens. So excited.

2. We need you all to do something. Every single day between now and I think the deadline is May 6th (I'll check and let you know) I need you all to hit this link right here kids, and vote for group number 69, which is us. We need to get more people to vote, because currently we have a pitiful 72 votes. >< Which is abit made of fail.

3. I think the last thing I wanna take about is what's happening tomorrow. We (the group) have to go to the headquarters of the whole competition to give a pitch about why our project deserves to go to the final of the competition. I'm not at liberty to discuss the details of what we plan to do, it's an "if I told you I'd have to kill you" type situation, and we wouldnt want that happening at all.

Anyway kiddies, I think that's everything. I'll talk to you all soon. I love ye.

Byeeeee
-Katie.
